CORAZÓN – The Royal Chicano Air Force

Rudy O. Cuellar, and many members of The Royal Chicano Air Force were close to the late René Yáñez. René had been a mentor and friend to Chicano and all artists for decades. When Rudy saw the heart installation I had created for Día de los Muertos 2018 at SOMArts, which was dedicated to his friend René, he invited me to join his "Corazón" Exhibition. I was truly honored to be part of this amazing show in Sacramento, CA.

Various Sacramento and Bay Area artists presented their diverse visions of the heart ranging from sculptures to poems, silkscreen images to traditional drawings, and much more!
