No Entiendo de Fronteras
I'm working on the second piece in my series "El Sueño Americano." My working title for this installation is "No Entiendo de Fronteras," loosely translated as "I don't Understand Borders." It depicts children who traveled from El Salvador and Guatemala to the US, and passed away after being held in custody in detention centers:

Hearing their stories broke my heart. No entiendo, no entiendo. I needed to spend time with each of them, draw their beautiful faces, try to understand. No entiendo de fronteras.
