Heart for René

I am working on a 3-D heart for an altar/installation in honor of René Yáñez. Installation at SOMArts begins this Friday. Below are three events where you can come and see (and sit in) this heart when it is done! I am very excited to see all the art by dozens of artists who will be participating in this very special exhibition. ¡René presente!

DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS AT SOMARTS CULTURAL CENTER

Now in its 19th year, SOMArts’ Día de los Muertos exhibition is one of the most internationally diverse Day of the Dead celebrations in the United States. Over the years, this group exhibition has brought together a wide variety of perspectives to honor and remember the dead. Programs for this year's exhibition, Honoring our Ancestors by Fighting for the Future transform the space into sites of gathering and celebration.
